Never Say Die

The quilting bug has me again. I'm starting a new class (and new project) this week!

Common Threads Quilt Show

I attended our local quilt show this weekend. There were many beautiful quilts on display, and it was clear that there are a lot of talented quilters in our corner of the world. As with the previous show, however, I was disappointed by the small number of contemporary quilts on display. I don't know if this was deliberate or just a lack of submissions, but the result was an obvious absence of people under 30 attending the show.

This is for me, right?

No sooner did my new quilting fabrics show up in the mail than Ollie parked his bootie right on the pile. "What are you gonna make me this time? A nice cushy quilt???" Thanks to the Blueberry Buckle Etsy shop for the beautiful Kona Solid fabrics. I can't wait to start cutting!

Cherry House Quilts

Another great inspiration. City Park from Cherry House Quilts. Awesome!

Inspiration!

I need a blanket for my new sofa. I want something contemporary, but that also coordinates with my existing "stuff." After perusing my Flickr favorites, I was very inspired by some of the contemporary quilts I had saved. This one (titled Elements 19) is from Simply Robin's quilt set. It's fabulous!
